Music Monday: Nicki Minaj is an Ass, Plus Avicii, Mariah, and Ashanti....

Holy wow. Cupid went a little O.D. this week. Whether you spent your Valentine’s Day with your significant other or sobbing on Netflix, we’re past that. There’s business to get to. There’s three…four…nine..ten videos you have got to see, so let’s move past your forever alone-ness for just a moment and talk about all the new music this week.
Nicki Minaj makes a complete idiot out of herself with her video for “Lookin Ass.” Granted we didn’t have much respect for her in the first place, but we’ve had enough now. Avicii delivers another awesome plot-centric video with “Addicted to You,” while Ashanti and Mariah use sex appeal to their advantage in their new videos.
Besides those, there are plenty of other new videos worth talking about this week. Cute blond, pinch-of-country pop star, Tiffany Houghton released an adorable video for “Love Like That,” about her desire for chivalry. While Tiësto, John Newman, Rascal Flatts, and Nick Cannon also debuted new videos this week.
There aren’t any exciting album releases this week, but “Dark Horse” remains atop the Hot 100. Also, somebody anybody please explain to us how Now That’s What I Call Music! 49 is number one on the Billboard 200. Whoever is encouraging this, please stop.
Bastille also wins everything at the end with a stripped down live version of “Pompeii.” Pretty much we are about to take you on an emotional roller coaster, so we recommend a glass of wine, an aspirin, and a trusty flask to get you through this. Not in that order though.
