Murdered man attends OWN funeral propped up in chair holding a cigarette with his eyes OPEN

The family of a man who was shot dead decided not to opt for a coffin and instead sat him up on a chair, cigarette in hand and with his eyes wide open to pay their last respects.
The unsettling footage shows Fernando de Jesus Diaz Beato, 26, was embalmed and sitting up on a chair during his send off.
Mr Beato had been shot 15 times in the Villa Carolina neighborhood of San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 3.
While police have yet to arrest anyone in connection with the incident - his family chose to pay tribute to him as if he were still alive.

Described as a "happy and very active person," he sat in a chair with his legs crossed, dressed in a baseball cap and tracksuit and with a cigarette between his fingers.

'Everybody is really surprised because seeing him like that is like seeing him as if he were alive,' one of Diaz Beato's sisters said in a video.
Another sister, Ihizz Diaz Beato, said: "We decided to embalm him like this because he was a very happy person, very active and we want to remember him as he was."
The unusual funeral was part of a trend popping up all over the country with the Marin Funeral Home, in Rio Piedras, in San Juan offering the service.

Damaris Marin, the owner of Marin Funeral Home, said they worked closely with the family to achieve the desired effect.
She said: "This time is different because he is seated with his legs crossed but, this is the first dead man in history with his eyes open.
"We have seen that the families wish to see the dead men just as they were when they were alive.
"We gave [the family] a surprise by leaving the eyes of the dead man open.
"I think that this time was the most impressive reaction to any of the work we have done."

Madonna Wants to ‘Heal the Wounds’ in Custody Case Over Rocco

Enough is enough. Madonna is seeking to stop litigation in the ongoing case between herself and her ex-husband Guy Ritchie for the sake of their teenage son, Rocco.
A lawyer representing the singer told a judge in London’s High Court on Friday, March 11, that the “Material Girl” singer, 57, hopes to “heal the wounds” that have been created by her strained relationship with Rocco, 15, by ending the bitter custody battle.
Rocco attended the court hearing alone on Friday, but both Ritchie, 47, and Rocco were present at the court hearing on Thursday; Madonna was unable to attend, as she is currently on tour in Australia.
According to The TelegraphDavid Williams QC told the judge that Madonna “doesn’t wish for these proceedings in England to continue any longer than necessary.”
“What she has always sought to date is to find a way in which this family can come together to heal the wounds which have been inflicted on the family in the past four months or so,” he continued. “She wants to chart a course for Rocco and the family to help put this behind them and restore peace to the family.”
Earlier this month, both Madonna and Ritchie called into a court hearing in New York City, during which New York Supreme Court Justice Deborah Kaplan urged both sides to consider Rocco’s well-being in their words and actions.
“Frankly, both parties have chosen to live their lives in a very public way and may welcome publicity, but the child has not,” Kaplan said. “He would like this matter resolved and the issues concerning him and his family in the most private way possible.”
In December, Madonna went to court to demand that Rocco return to live with her in New York City after he refused to return to the States following a holiday visit with his father in London.
The pop icon shared a series of somber selfies as a way to plea with her son, arguing that her director ex was being a bad influence on Rocco.
“He taught his son that obeying court orders … is not necessarily important,” a lawyer for Madonna said during the early March hearing. “That is one of the most serious things that has happened in this case.”

Cheryl Cole Fernandez Versini defends her mum Joan
Cheryl wanted to clear a few things up about her love life
Furious Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has hit back after she was pictured on a dinner date with boyfriend Liam Payne - and her mum.
It looked like a cosy dinner for three as Chezza, Liam, and her mum Joan Callaghan enjoyed a bite to eat earlier this week.
But the X Factor judge has now hit back at claims Joan was giving One Direction heartthrob Liam her seal of approval - insisting she can choose her own men, thank you very much.
Cheryl took to Twitter to clear up a few things, writing: "There have been a lot of unfair comments about my Mam today and I have to clear a few things up in her defence.

Cheryl and her mum have a close bond
"While I am extremely close to my Mam and respect her entirely, she does not and never has had any influence in any of my relationships.
"As a 32-year-old woman I make my own decisions and choices and take full responsibility for them."
Cheryl once said about her mother: "I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t trust anybody in life except my mother and my dogs."
A source told the Daily Star: "Cheryl was a bit nervous about the big meeting but Liam and Joan got on really well.

Cheryl and Liam were all smiles
"He's a charming lad and he and Cheryl have plenty in common."
"Joan just want to see her daughter happy, but it always helps if the mum and new boyfriend get on - and they certainly seemed to."
The new couple had been teasing fans about their blossoming romance but left nothing in doubt as they held hands during the outing.
During the dinner it was clear where the former Girls Aloud beauty gets her sense of style and glamour from, with Joan wearing a feathered dress and black leather jacket combination.

The cute pair looked smitten
Liam, 22, held Cheryl's hand and looked proud as punch as he followed his girlfriend towards the restuarant.
Cheryl, 32, looked stunning in a black jumpsuit and draped a faux-fur stole over her shoulders.
She wore her dark hair loose and an oversized chunky necklace spelled out the word 'Love'.
One Direction heartthrob Liam looked dapper in a black jumper, black jeans and boots.

Neither could contain their happiness as they made their way past photographers and smiled sweetly.

The star is "delighted" by the new arrival
Accepting the best actress prize for her role in the BBC1 drama, she said: "Sorry I can't be there but I have a good excuse."
In January at the National Television Awards, the actress had announced she was expecting a baby as she proudly cradled her growing bump.
Wearing an asymmetrical black gown, the brunette mum-to-be pointed to her stomach and said: "Yeah I'm pregnant!"
And her night then got even better as she won the Best Drama Performance award for her lead role of Doctor Gemma Foster.
On her pregnancy, Suranne said: “We have been married nearly a year and a half now and what a wonderful way to kind of move our marriage on. We’re dying to celebrate the new arrival.”

And the BBC series Doctor Foster also picked up the New Drama prize, although her baby means fans will have to wait a while for the next series.
Overjoyed Suranne said: “Thank you for voting for us, we start filming the new series in September so we look forward to you seeing that, have a great night.”
Her co-star Bertie Carvel said: “This is amazing, everyone behind me and the amazingly talented cast and crew of Doctor Foster all had one thing in common, that we knew Mike Barlett had written and amazing drama. The one thing we didn’t know is if other people would agree.”
Suranne, 37, married in August last year to Laurence Akers after a whirlwind romance.

Suranne first shot to fame in Coronation Street but it was last year’s Doctor Foster that brought her back into the spotlight.
The drama series told the story of Suranne’s character Gemma as she discovered her husband Simon, played by Bertie Carvel, was cheating on
her with a young woman called Kate.
The series was recently commissioned for a second series, and Suranne said that most of the original cast are returning to our screens.

She told the TV Times: "I can't say much, only that most of the original cast are returning. It's not going to be a whole new ball game, it's a continuation of Gemma and Simon's story, but it's a different stage in their life.
“It was so successful, I just wondered what the hook would be to keep people coming back to this relationship. Then I went out for dinner with Mike and the team and they told me what they had planned.
"I thought it sounded great, and actually like something we haven't explored in a couple before."
